Measure the prize in its final package
Measure the bag, card, box or capsule that will enter the machine. Take length, width, height and weight in every orientation the chute can create, then record the machine opening and clearance on the same sheet. A loose toy can fit while its selling package catches on the jaw or chute.
Leave space for normal movement and seams. A bag that fits only when compressed can jam and can permanently flatten a slow-rising PU toy. A display card or header can also change the centre of gravity, so include it in the pilot unit.

Shortlist shapes and fillings for grip
Recognisable food, fruit and character shapes read through a cabinet window. Compact cubes and rounded animals usually give the claw more contact area than long thin projections. Choose the shape with the package attached; the machine handles the complete prize.
Material changes the lift. Light PU foam can be easier to raise but may rotate or fold under a narrow jaw. Filled TPR is denser and may need a wider opening or a different claw setting. A product with an internal filling needs a sealed package and a surface check after repeated lifts. Keep the material, filling reference and SKU beside the pilot record.
For a first test, select three distinct shapes with the same package route. This shows whether a failure comes from the machine setting or from one silhouette.
Run a repeatable pilot
Keep the machine model, settings, loading orientation and product revision fixed for one pilot. Change one variable at a time and give the new combination a revision number.
- Load a counted set of prizes with the final package and orientation.
- Run a fixed number of attempts, recording successful lift, slip, no delivery, double vend, jam and damaged package.
- Photograph the contact point for each failure and retain the failed package.
- Check the collection tray for the product, card, seal and warning label after every successful vend.
- Calculate the delivery rate as successful prizes divided by attempts, then record the tested machine setting beside the result.

Build a refill assortment that staff can count
Use a small group of distinct SKUs so the cabinet stays readable and staff can spot the next refill. RUIWO’s ready-stock minimum is 12 pieces per style. Colors may mix within one style when color is the only difference; a different shape, size, weight or filling is a separate style.
Keep one line for each style in the refill record: SKU, color plan, pieces loaded, pieces sold, pieces left, damaged units and next refill quantity. A 12-piece minimum applies to each listed style, so a mixed order needs separate quantities rather than one combined total.
Use the pilot to set an initial refill point. For example, if a cabinet sells 18 units during a 24-unit test and the next delivery takes five days, plan the next load from the observed daily rate, delivery time and a small replacement reserve. Label the calculation as a store operating target and update it from actual vends.
Protect the prize and its information
Keep the age grade, small-parts warning and required tracking information on the final selling unit. Food-shaped squishies are toys, not food; place the non-edible wording where a customer can see it. Destination documents and exact warning wording are [Compliance confirmation].
Remove a prize from service when it leaks, tears, loses its package or no longer represents the listed SKU. A damaged tester should never become a customer prize.
