Short answer: Calculate push spinner retail prices with a worked single-versus-multipack example, landed costs, payment fees and a clear promotion break-even point.
A three-item bundle can increase the amount a shopper spends while reducing the contribution you keep per toy. Before printing a push spinner price card, calculate the single-item and multipack offers on the same cost basis. The useful comparison is the money left after the product and variable selling costs, not the discount percentage alone.

Start with the cost of one sellable unit
A supplier's per-piece price is one input. Add freight, applicable import costs, the chosen retail package and inbound handling to establish a landed unit cost. Divide costs by the number of units you can actually sell. Keep any allowance for damaged or promotional units explicit rather than quietly treating every shipped piece as saleable stock.
The Ruiwo push spinner catalog displays reference prices and several packing arrangements. Use the dated quotation for your selected SKU and packaging when building the final costing sheet. A photographed display box does not establish what is included in your order.
A worked example: one for $3.50 or three for $9
The following figures are illustrative, not Ruiwo quotations or recommended market prices. All example amounts are in US dollars; calculations retain fractional cents until final rounding. Assume a landed cost of $1.20 per toy, a payment fee of 3% of sales and $0.30 handling per transaction. Prices exclude sales tax; there is no additional delivery or bundle-packaging cost in this example.
| Calculation | One toy | Three-toy offer |
|---|---|---|
| Customer price | $3.50 | $9.00 |
| Landed product cost | $1.20 | $3.60 |
| Payment fee | $0.105 | $0.27 |
| Transaction handling | $0.30 | $0.30 |
| Contribution before fixed costs | $1.895, approximately $1.90 | $4.83 |
| Contribution per toy | Approximately $1.90 | $1.61 |
The bundle produces more contribution in one transaction, but three separate full-price sales would produce approximately $5.69. The bundle gives up about $0.86 against that comparison. It works commercially only if the larger basket, reduced transaction work or additional sales justify that trade-off.
Keep gross margin and contribution separate
At $3.50, the gross margin before payment and handling costs is ($3.50 − $1.20) ÷ $3.50, or 65.7%. That is different from markup, which divides the same $2.30 difference by the $1.20 cost. It is also different from the 54.1% contribution rate after the variable costs in this example.
Use one definition consistently when comparing products. Rent, staff time beyond the handling allowance, advertising and other overhead still have to be covered. A positive contribution is not the same as net profit.
Calculate a floor before running a promotion
For the three-toy offer above, variable-cost break-even is ($3.60 + $0.30) ÷ (1 − 0.03), approximately $4.03 after rounding up to cents. That is a mathematical boundary, not a sensible selling-price target: it leaves nothing for fixed costs or profit.
Reducing the bundle from $9 to $7.50 lowers contribution from $4.83 to approximately $3.38. You give up about $1.46 per transaction. Add any advertising, extra bag, sticker or fulfilment charge before judging whether the promotion remains worthwhile.
Make the offer clear on the shelf
State the exact number of toys and whether customers choose the styles or receive a fixed assortment. Do not mix different-cost light-up and standard versions into one promotion without recalculating the costs. Identify exclusions before customers reach the till, and keep the shelf card, barcode and checkout price consistent.
Trial the offer on a defined quantity or period. Record single sales, bundle sales, total contribution and remaining stock by SKU. Those observations are more useful for your next order than assuming every shopper would otherwise have purchased three singles.
To prepare a costable order, send your selected SKUs, quantities and required selling unit through the Ruiwo inquiry list. For packaging decisions, use the push spinner packaging guide.
