Short answer: Decide whether a late Halloween toy order can support your selling window by checking stock evidence, approval work, receiving dates and fallback plans.
Proceed only when the exact order can reach the useful receiving date. Work backward from the destination date through product approval, packing, inspection, transport and receiving. A dispatch estimate is not a shelf-ready date.
| Reference | Recorded fact | Open deadline field |
|---|---|---|
| RIVO-HW26-010 Pumpkin Jelly | 100 g; 144/carton reference | Availability, final package and transit buffer |
| RIVO-HW26-007 Jumbo Ghost | 100 g; 36/carton reference | Stock or production slot and packed dimensions |
| RIVO-HW26-012 Blind Box | 200 g; 144/carton reference | Artwork, inspection date and final weight |
Use the three-way decision
| Decision | Use it when… | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Go | Exact SKU, quantity, package and dated schedule fit the receiving deadline. | Release the order against the written schedule. |
| Simplify | The opportunity still works but custom packaging, too many styles or a new design adds avoidable work. | Use a confirmed existing pack or fewer styles, then recalculate the date. |
| No-go | The goods arrive after the useful selling period or a key product field remains unresolved. | Stop the seasonal order or choose a documented alternative. |
Build the deadline chain
- Record the latest useful warehouse or event date.
- Subtract receiving, checking and store distribution time.
- Subtract destination processing and transport time from the written plan.
- Subtract inspection, packing and artwork time.
- Leave time for exact-SKU approval and order release.
These are planning fields, not universal transit promises. Mark every date as confirmed or estimated and write the owner of each remaining step. A revised assortment or split shipment is a new decision and should be recorded as such.
When requesting a seasonal assessment, provide the destination, useful receiving date, exact SKUs, minimum quantity, acceptable package options and acceptable substitutions. Do not publish a generic cutoff date when those variables are still unknown.
