1. Confirm the approved sample and specification
Send the SKU and selected size, color and filling with your order. Record the sample reference, dimensions, unit weight, appearance and expected squeeze behavior so the same version can be used for production and inspection.
Confirm the retail pack, labels and any inspection requirements at this stage. A few informal squeezes do not establish durability; agree any additional checks and acceptance criteria for the actual product.
2. Compare production and packing with the approved reference
The order reference connects checks of appearance, measurements, filling or feel, style allocation and packaging. Include the approved artwork and barcode version, pieces per selling unit, pieces per carton and carton marks.
If you require a formal sampling plan, third-party inspection or specific defect classifications, include them in the order requirements. Confirm the scope and records before inspection rather than assuming one plan covers every SKU.
3. Resolve differences before the shipment decision
Keep the order line, sample version and carton reference together with dated photographs, measurements and inspection observations. A useful issue record states the requirement, observed difference, proposed action and person responsible.
Confirm any correction or accepted change in writing and record the release decision. Ask for the inspection and packing evidence agreed for your order; catalog photographs are not batch inspection results.
4. Keep product documentation separate from routine QC
Routine quality checks do not replace destination-market testing or product documentation. Match the requested documents to the exact SKU, material, intended age, label and ordered version.
Send the destination market and required document list with your inquiry. Availability and scope must be confirmed for the selected product; a report for another product is not proof for your shipment.
Prepare your inspection requirements
Use the buyer checklist to prepare an inspection sheet for your purchase order. This process page explains the order workflow; the checklist helps record individual inspection results.

Safety-focused checks for squishy toy batches
For children’s products, routine factory QC should support the approved specification and compliance file. It does not replace laboratory testing, but it can catch production changes that make earlier evidence less relevant.
